Beschefer Project

Key Facts

Location

Detour Gold Trend, Abitibi, Quebec

7 km from the B26 Deposit and 30 km southwest of Wallbridge’s Fenelon Gold project

Near Resource

The project is extensively drilled with and is near resource

Ownership

Company has completed approximately $2 million in work expenditures at the Project. The Company is funded to achieve its final option milestone of incurring $3.0 million in work expenditures to earn 100% of the Project.

High Grade Gold

30,000+ metres of drilling identifying 4 historical intercepts with a metal factor of  over 100 g/t gold amongst 4 modelled zones with a strike length of 600 m and  down-dip of 500 m

Overview

The Beschefer Project covers approximately 962 acres and is located in the Northern Abitibi Greenstone Belt, 14 km east of the past-producing polymetallic Selbaie Mine, 45 km northeast of the Casa Berardi Mine and 30 kilometres from Wallbridge’s Fenelon Gold property. Historically, the area has mainly been explored for volcanogenic massive sulfide deposits similar to the Matagami camp and the Selbaie Mine.

Gold mineralization was discovered in the B-14 Zone in 1995 by Billiton Canada Inc. and the Beschefer Project saw very limited exploration before the involvement by Excellon in 2011, which completed approximately 17,000 metres of drilling up to 2013. There has been limited exploration at Beschefer since 2013 with the exception of 1,600 meters drilled by Wallbridge in 2018.

3D Model of Gold Zones

The mineralized structure can be interpreted according to a moderately south dip plane which is also recognized by drilling over a strike length of 1,000 meters and followed over a maximum dip length of about 500 meters inside the Property limit.

50 composites were used to build the model using a minimum cut-off grade of 1 g/t over more than 2 metres for an average of 3.5 g/t over 7 metres. The composite series includes 4 intervals with results above 10 g/t over more than 2,8m metres. All results were intercepted between 80 and 100% of their true thickness.

The model developed is balanced between the manual interpretation of the gold-bearing structure, the hole-to-hole connectivity of composite grades, and the extrapolation along the North-East trend. In greater detail, plan views and section sets are cut every 20 meters. A cross-section interpretation was first built using 2 metres minimum width composites showing a minimum grade of 1 g/t. Composite grade was locally diluted by lower grade, but always clipped on the gold-bearing structure contact to generate more geometrical continuity. After the automatic meshing and corrections, the model was validated by slicing following the plan, cross-section, and longitudinal section views.

Geology & Historical Results

The Beschefer project is located in a favorable orogenic setting 45 kilometres northeast of the Casa Berardi gold mine (Hecla Mining) and 28 kilometres southwest of the Fenelon Gold deposit. The geology of the property is predominantly intermediate to felsic volcanic rocks of the Harricana-Turgeon volcanic belt of the Brouillan volcanic complex. The main structure identified to date on the project is the northeast-southwest trending B-14 Zone, an intensely sheared deformation zone with strong sericite, ankerite, and hematite alteration containing quartz veining and pyrite. Continuous large-scale gold-bearing structure (B-14 Zone) with known continuity and additional known parallel mineralized shear zones.
